LexVerity is founded and led by two lawyers with complementary expertise in legal practice, compliance, and technology. We combine deep regulatory knowledge with a technical understanding of AI systems.
Mirza Saad Ali Baig is a co-founder and director of LexVerity Legal Ltd. He combines a dual-qualified legal background — LL.B from the University of Sussex and an LL.M across the University of Dundee and Sciences Po Paris — with graduate-level technical education in cybersecurity at Northeastern University's Khoury College of Computer Sciences.
His practice focuses on AI governance, regulatory compliance, and the intersection of law and emerging technology. He leads LexVerity's AI Governance service line, advising law firms on SRA obligations, EU AI Act compliance, and the implementation of AI risk management frameworks. He is the primary author of LexVerity's AI Governance Assessment methodology.
Saad brings a distinctive dual perspective: a practitioner's understanding of how law firms operate and the regulatory environment they face, combined with a technical grasp of how AI systems are built and where they fail. This informs the firm's practical, implementation-focused approach to governance work.
Mirza Unas Ali Baig is a co-founder and partner of LexVerity Legal Ltd. He holds an LL.B (Honours) and LL.M from City Law School, University of London, with an Erasmus exchange year at Sciences Po Paris and a European Business Law programme at EBS University, Wiesbaden. He completed advocacy training as a Barrister Member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn.
Unas has built a substantial career spanning corporate law, financial compliance, and tax advisory across the United Kingdom, Pakistan, and the UAE. His regulatory experience includes roles as a Compliance Officer at Meezan Bank, Legal Advisor to the Chairman on General Sales Tax matters at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Legal Analyst at Legato 8 Consultancy LLC in Dubai, where he advises on UAE tax compliance and international regulatory matters.
He holds practising enrolments across multiple jurisdictions including a Candidate Practising Certificate with the Solicitor Regulation Authority, Lifetime Barrister Membership with CILEx, registration as a Tax Agent with the UAE Federal Tax Authority, and advocacy rights before the High Court of Sindh. He is also a qualified Civil and Commercial Mediator accredited by the Civil Mediation Council.
