Regulatory position

What we are not authorised to do

LexVerity Legal Ltd is not a law firm. It is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or by any other approved regulator, and it is not entitled to carry on any reserved legal activity.

Under section 12 of, and Schedule 2 to, the Legal Services Act 2007 there are six reserved legal activities. LexVerity Legal Ltd carries on none of them:

  • the exercise of a right of audience
  • the conduct of litigation
  • reserved instrument activities
  • probate activities
  • notarial activities
  • the administration of oaths

Nothing on this website is an offer to carry on any of those activities, and nothing here should be read as implying that the company or its personnel are entitled to carry them on. Our work is advisory and educational: we do not represent clients, we do not conduct proceedings, we do not prepare instruments of transfer or charge, we do not prepare testamentary or probate papers, and we do not administer oaths.

We are not the SRA and we cannot grant, award or influence an SQE exemption. Nothing on this site is regulated legal advice from an authorised person, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a solicitor where a matter requires one. Where we consider a matter needs an authorised person, we will say so and decline the work.
