Cookie notice

The short version

By default this website sets no cookies. It measures visits in a way that stores nothing on your device, and it runs no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking. You can choose to allow cookies, which makes the visitor figures accurate, and you can change that choice at any time.

Your choice, and how to change it

The first time you arrive you are asked once. Nothing is stored unless you choose to allow it, and choosing not to is exactly as easy as choosing to. Whatever you pick, thecookie choice link in the footer of every page reopens the question, so you can change your mind later without hunting for a setting.

Your answer is remembered in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie, because recording a refusal in the very thing being refused would be absurd. That single entry is all it holds.

If you do not allow cookies, which is the default

Google Analytics still runs, with storage switched off through Google’s consent settings before the tag loads. Nothing is written to your device and nothing already on it is read.

If you do allow cookies

Google Analytics sets two cookies on this domain. Neither is used for advertising, and advertising features and cross-device tracking stay switched off whatever you choose.

What this buys is accuracy, not more data about you personally: the same pages and sources as before, counted properly. Clearing your browser storage for this site removes both cookies and your recorded choice, and you will be asked again.

We do all of this to answer one practical question: whether the people looking for help with the SQE are finding these pages, and whether the ones who read them go on to get in touch. It is not used for advertising, and we do not sell it.

The enquiry form

Submitting the form sends your message to FormSubmit, which forwards it to us. That is a one-off request you initiate by pressing the button; it does not place a cookie on your device.

The study app is different

LexVerity Academy, the SQE1 study app, holds accounts and therefore does use storage. It is a separate application on a separate origin, and none of it runs on the pages you are reading now. It uses only what it needs to work:

There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics or tracking cookies anywhere. Because the storage above is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for, consent is not required for it under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. We describe it anyway, so you know exactly what is held.

You can clear cookies and local storage from your browser at any time. Clearing it on a device where you are signed out will lose progress that has not yet synced to your account.

Pricing pages and your country

Where a pricing page shows a regional price, it looks up your approximate country from your IP address to choose which currency to display, and remembers your choice on your device so it does not ask again. That lookup identifies a country, not a person, and you can always override the currency shown.

The enquiry and intake forms

The eligibility check and the client intake form at intake.lexverity.co.uk save your answers on our server against a reference number so you can leave and come back. That is the service working as described, not tracking. They set no advertising or analytics storage.
