How we are set up
LexVerity Legal Ltd is an independent consultancy providing non-reserved legal and business services — advisory, drafting and consulting work that does not require authorisation under the Legal Services Act 2007. We are not a law firm and we are not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
The solicitor you work with
Your work may be carried out by Mirza Unas Ali Baig, a solicitor of England and Wales, admitted in 2025 and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in his individual capacity (SRA ID 7168125; see the SRA register athttps://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/register/person/?sraNumber=7168125). He is also called to the Bar of England and Wales. That personal authorisation does not make LexVerity Legal Ltd a regulated firm and does not extend to the company or to the services it offers more widely.
What this means for you
Because LexVerity Legal Ltd is not an SRA-regulated firm: the Legal Ombudsman scheme does not cover the company's services in the way it covers a regulated firm; you cannot apply to the SRA Compensation Fund in respect of the company's services; and the company's work is not covered by the SRA's compulsory minimum-terms professional indemnity insurance. We hold professional indemnity insurance; details are available on request. If you would prefer to instruct a fully SRA-regulated law firm for your matter, you are free to do so, and for some matters that may be the right choice.
Complaints
We want you to be happy with our work. If something has gone wrong, please tell us, and we will do our best to put it right.
How to raise a complaint
Please email us atcomplaints@lexverity.co.uk, including your name, the work concerned, and what you would like us to do. If you would prefer to write to us, you can post your complaint to LexVerity Legal Ltd, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.
What happens next
We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days of receiving it. We will then look into it and give you a full written response, normally within 28 days. If we need longer, for example because the matter is complex, we will tell you and give you a new date.
If you are not satisfied
If we cannot resolve your complaint between us, please note that LexVerity Legal Ltd is not an SRA-regulated law firm, so the Legal Ombudsman scheme for regulated firms does not apply to the company's services in the usual way. Depending on the nature of your complaint and your circumstances, other routes may be open to you, including the courts. We will set out in our response the options we believe are available to you.
