Terms of engagement

We do not publish one set of terms and apply them to everyone. Each piece of work gets its own written engagement, agreed with you before anything starts.

How it works

Tell us what you need. We will come back with what we can do, what it will cost, and how our services are regulated. If you want to go ahead, we send you an engagement letter written for that matter. Work begins once you have agreed it.

Nothing is chargeable before that point, and sending us an enquiry does not create an advisory relationship.

What the engagement letter covers

Why it is done this way

The work varies a great deal. A single contract review and an ongoing advisory relationship do not need the same terms, and a document broad enough to cover both tends to be precise about neither. Writing the terms to the matter is clearer for you and for us.

Using this website

The pages here are general information. They are not legal advice, they are not advice on your circumstances, and you should not act on them without taking advice on the facts of your own matter. Where we link to an official source, such as the SRA, that source governs and you should check the current position there.

Our regulatory information sets out how the company is set up and how to complain. Ourprivacy notice explains what we do with your data.

The Academy

LexVerity Academy atacademy.lexverity.co.ukis a separate product with its own terms of use, which govern any account you hold there. Those terms, not this page, apply to your use of it.
