Thirteen real sections, not a sampler
Free opens one section in each of the thirteen subjects rather than a handful of subjects chosen for you, and that is the point: you can judge the writing across the whole syllabus before paying anything. Each unlocked section carries the same cited content and the same single best answer questions the paid tiers get, not a cut-down preview.
Daily review is included. It is a spaced-repetition flashcard queue drawn from whatever you can already access, resurfacing the rule you are closest to forgetting rather than working a fixed deck in order. So are the confidence tracker, the margin notes panel and the study planner, all of which are on every plan. Rate how confident you feel about a section next to your measured accuracy, keep your own notes as you read, and set an exam date to see a realistic study calendar, without paying anything.
What Free does not include
Revision maps, worked calculation exercises and priority practice all sit behind Standard and Premium. So do mocks: there is no per-subject mock and no FLK paper of any length on Free. Leaderboards start at Standard too. Beyond the first section of each subject, the rest of the syllabus stays closed until you subscribe.
None of that is hidden in the small print, because the trade is deliberate. Free is enough to decide whether the course suits you. It is not enough to prepare on.
Who Free suits
Free suits anyone still comparing SQE1 providers who wants to read real cited material and answer real questions before handing over a card. It also suits someone who has already chosen a plan but wants to check the app runs well on the device they will study on. It does not suit someone who needs to cover the syllabus, because only the first section of each subject is open on it.
